Project: Gun Parts

These unfinished upper and lower receivers were an interesting project. There were a lot of areas that needed to be plugged to ensure that everything could be assembled once the coating was complete. The prep was nice and easy, with a quick wash with our iron phosphate solution these pieces were ready to be coated! The low gloss black was exactly what the customer was looking for.

Project: Sculpture Components

This project was for a local sculptor who was doing a pieces for a private collector. They were wanting the two pieces to contrast each other with Psycho Lemon and Transparent Red. Both of the colors we used were transparent, so the brushed aluminium still showed through.

Project: Jeep Logo

The Jeep logo was a custom engraving project for one of our customers. We started off by cutting the logo out of aluminum, prepped it by washing it with iron phosphate, and applying a base coat of 90% gloss black. After the pieces had been in the oven for approximately 15-20 minutes, we took them out and let them cool. Once cool, we masked J and P, and hung them for the second coat of 90% gloss red. Once out of the oven, we pulled the high temperature tape and revealed the two tone Jeep logo.
