Basic Powder Coating Class

What's Included in the Class

• Instructional guidelines and basic powder coating knowledge on preparing parts and different powders to use.

• Personal Powder Doctor access before, during and after the class with help on your coating problems.

• Powder Doctor T-shirt.

• Patented folding clipboard from clipboards.com (engraved with your name) that you will powder coat as part of the class. 

• We'll contact you after registration to review your parts and answer any questions you may have about the class.

Guidelines on what parts can be brought to class

• 2 bare metal objects only, no wood, plastic or glass.

• Objects up to the size 24 x 24 inch.

• You must be able to carry the object(s) in and out of the shop.
  

• If your object needs stripping or blasting, please call us to discuss.

• We will need to see your parts you want to coat prior to class, please send us an email with pictures (Info@powderdoctor.com).

Our basic powder coating class is not really basic!

Hands-on Training
Our hands-on training will focus on what you intend to powder coat within your home or facility. We have experience in all powder guns from Eastwood, Harbor Freight, Wagner, Nordson, Gema and many more. Our focus during the class is to provide each student with their own knowledge in what they will use and not just give you generic instructions. You will learn what you will use in our class!
Care, Maintenance and Quality
We’ll review common mistakes in part preparation, coating and curing with the care and maintenance to achieve powder coating perfection wherever you coat. Walk away from our basic class with the knowledge on the care and maintenance of any gun, booth, or oven and how to handle problems as they arise to give you maximum finish quality.
